Trivia[]
- The Playboy magazine that Kevin finds in the trunk is a real issue of the said magazine, having been released in July 1989. It features model and actress Erika Eleniak on the cover and as its main feature.
- The same issue was featured in the 1992 Steven Seagal film Under Siege. Eleniak appeared in the film as a supporting character, Playboy Playmate Jordan Tate, who is taken hostage on board the U.S.S. Missouri.
- To film the scene where Kevin finds the magazine and take a brief look at it before dumping it away, the crew taped some pages and left the advertisement and subscription pages (the latter containing very small photos of scantily-clad covers) untouched, so that Macaulay Culkin, then a minor, would not be able to see any or much nudity.
- Buzz's room was included in the 2021 LEGO Home Alone set.
- For some reason, Buzz's bedroom is not seen in the beginning of Home Alone 2.
