"Ain't much better in here, kid."

Taxi driver[src]

The cab driver

The scary looking cab driver.

The cab driver is a minor antagonist in the 1992 film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Kevin called out "Taxi", and the taxi stopped for him. Kevin headed over to the taxi cab and got in. As soon as he shut the door, Kevin turned to the driver and remarked, "Boy, it's scary out there".

The cab driver slowly turned around to face Kevin (who was in the back seat) and told him "Ain't much better in here, kid" (possibly meaning he was aware that he was a scary-looking man and Kevin would spend the ride terrified from his appearance - or because, since it was night time, they would be driving through the dark and they would continue to see more scary stuff out of the cab windows).

Kevin took one look at him and was terrified by how scary he looked before getting out of the taxi and running away as fast as he could to Central Park.

A deleted scene would have revealed the driver as an opportunistic serial killer, although he mostly targeted adult women than children.

He was portrayed by Mario Todisco.
