Catherine Anne O'Hara (born March 4, 1954) is an American-Canadian actress, writer, and comedian who played Kate McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. In Home Alone 4, she was replaced by Clare Carey.

Trivia

She and the late John Heard (who played Peter, Kate's husband) appeared in the 1985 film After Hours, sharing one scene together.
- They both also made guest appearances on the ABC sitcom, Modern Family, albeit not in the same episodes.
Before acting in Home Alone, she and John Candy, who played Gus Polinski, both appeared in Second City Television (SCTV).
On May 7 and 24, 2020, she won $250,000 for her charity, "Upward Bound House", as a celebrity contestant on the revival of ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
On December 2, 2023, O'Hara appeared as a guest speaker for the unveiling of Macaulay Culkin's Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
