An unidentified drugstore clerk attempted to assist Kevin McCallister.
Kevin asked her if a toothbrush he wanted was approved by the American Dental Association, which she did not know and asked Herb, another clerk, to see if he knew, which he did not. The minute that she asked him, Old Man Marley walked into the store and went up to the counter next to Kevin. Scared, Kevin backed away and accidentally walked out without paying for the toothbrush, so the clerk told fellow employee Jimmy to stop him, but Kevin zoomed across a skating rink without a police officer chasing him.[1]
