Brother-Sister Hug

Personality[]

Finn is a 10-year-old boy who's obsessed with video games. He can be shy especially when he's trying to make friends and meeting new people. He was cowardly when he thought there was a ghost in his house, but he became brave after learning that there isn't a ghost. Finn can be kind and caring to his new friend, Mason, his parents, and especially to his sister, Alexis Baxter. In the end, he decides to take a break from video games and starts playing with Mason.

Home Alone 5[]

Finn Baxter is suddenly home alone when Catherine Baxter and Curtis Baxter go to the Christmas party from her new boss. Finn discovers the secret room in the Basement That has Edvard Munch's ¨The Widow¨. His sister (Alexis Baxter) gets trapped in the basement's secret room. He suddenly discovers the burglar's secret plan. He beats them with the booby traps and they go to prison. Finn and his family receive four museum passes and $30,000 as a reward for recovering the painting and capturing the three criminals. Finn then takes a break from video games and plays with Mason.

Trivia[]

  • Finn was portrayed by Christian Martyn.
  • Like his sister Alexis, he's a technophile.
  • Finn replaces both Kevin McCallister and Alex Pruitt in the Home Alone series.
  • Finn is the first main character to have two kids helping him against the bad guys.
    • Finn Baxter is different than Alex Pruitt (from the third film) Kevin McCallister (from the first two and forth Home Alone films) in several ways:
      • For starters, Alex used intellectually-minded traps to capture the villains and hold them there until the police arrived. Kevin's traps were largely designed to simply maim the burglars and slow them down.
      • Secondly, Alex fought four international spies while Kevin fought two small-town crooks and Finn fought three worldwide art crooks. Furthermore, Peter Beaupre had been wanted by the FBI for seven years, but Alex snared him in with his booby traps and ended his career on the run.
      • Thirdly, Alex's heroics were recognized by the police, the Air Force and the FBI, while Kevin's heroics went almost completely unnoticed, as he didn't need the credit and just wanted to see justice done.
      • Also, Kevin needed to be saved by adults (Old Man Marley, the "Pigeon Lady, and Mr. Prescott") on the occasions, respectively. In Home Alone 3, Alex saves himself and an adult (Mrs. Hess) while Finn Baxter gets saved by a kid (Mason) and later saves his sister and has a man in collage (Simon Hassler) who saves him with cameras.
      • Finn has an older sister (Alexis) Alex also has one brother (Stan) and one sister (Molly), while Kevin has two brothers (Buzz and Jeff) and two sisters (Megan and Linnie).
      • Alex attempted to phone the police about the burglars, and only took action when nobody would listen. Kevin did not attempt to contact law enforcement until he knew where he could lure the burglars (across the street). It is possible that he did this because he did not want to scare his family. While Finn did not attempt to call the police, his parents called them after receiving a call from Simon (Finn's online friend), whom they mistakenly thought kidnapped Finn and his sister.
      • Kevin was accidentally separated while his family went on trips. Finn was left alone with his older sister, who later gets trapped in the basement. Alex was home sick with chicken pox, and was also left at home (but only on a few occasions) for a few hours because his mother needed to go to work. Despite this, he was still being supervised by Mrs. Hess so he and Finn where never truly "home alone", whereas Kevin really was home alone.
      • Kevin's parents are of lower upper class, while Finn and Alex's parents are middle-class citizens.
      • A few of Alex's traps seem to be more extreme than Kevin's while Finn's are less extreme.
      • Kevin and Alex live in Chicago, while Finn lives in Maine.
    • Despite these differences, however, they are also similar in a number of ways:
      • All have trouble dealing with their families, but they all love each other at the end of the day.
      • All are whiz-kids that have a mischievous sense of humor.
      • All use booby-traps to foil the plans of their enemies.
