Home Alone 2: Lost in New York[]
The McCallister family went there for Christmas while Kevin accidentally became separated in Chicago O'Hare International Airport after following a man dressed like his father and ended up inside the wrong airplane, instead, heading for New York City, New York. Kevin's family had a terrible time in Florida, due to the rainy weather and were forced to stay at a cheap motel as Kevin had his father's credit card and most of the money that he brought for the trip while he was stranded in New York City. Fortunately, Kevin's family got a call from the police saying that Kevin was found in New York City by tracking Peter's credit card, which prompted them to leave for New York City and stay at the Plaza Hotel.

- The Murphy family (the Winnetka McCallister family's neighbors) went to Florida in the first film. However, they went to Orlando while the McCallisters in this film go to Miami.
