In the second film, Kevin's family goes there for Christmas while the boy himself accidentally gets separated in the airport and ends up inside the wrong airplane, instead, heading for New York City. Kevin's family had a terrible time in Florida, due to the rainy weather and were forced to stay at a cheap motel as Kevin has his father's credit card and most of the money that he brought for the trip while he was stranded in New York City. Fortunately, Kevin's family gets a call from the police saying that Kevin is found in New York City by tracking Peter's credit card, which prompts them to leave for New York City.
