Biography
Immediately suspicious of Kevin McCallister – who managed to check in without an adult – Hector entered Kevin's room under the guise of housekeeping. Kevin scared him away by using an inflatable clown and a recording of his Uncle Frank singing "Cool Jerk" to make it seem like Hector had walked in on Kevin's father showering.[1]

Trivia
- The scene where Mr. Hector trips on a coffee table while fleeing the suite after being frightened by Kevin was not in the script. Curry actually tripped on the furniture and the director thought it was hilarious, and he left it in for the final cut.
