Johnny Allen was a neighbor of the Pruitt family. He owned a dog that was stolen by Alice Ribbons to use as a distraction for passersby and authorities in order to allow Peter Beaupre to rob houses unnoticed so as to find a highly-priced classified missile-cloaking chip that they acquired but lose at San Francisco Airport.

While staying home from school due to chickenpox, Alex Pruitt spied on the neighborhood and saw Alice having Johnny's dog. When he saw Petr Beaupre robbing the vacant Stephen house, Alex called the police and reported to his mother on what he witnessed. Because the Beaupre quartet are able to cover their tracks, the police dismiss this as false alarm. However, when Alex has a meeting with the chief, he reveals that he had a phone call with Johnny Allen, who reveals that the dog was stolen the previous Monday morning.[1]

Convinced that the dog is indeed Johnny Allen's, Alex blew a whistle to set it free from Alice. The dog dragged Alice as it ran, wherein the latter stumbles on a bush, landing in snow. With the dog free, it came to Alex, who unleashed it and orders it to return to the Allen household.

Behind the scenes

The character is only mentioned in Home Alone 3. Unsubstantiated sources claim that the character appeared in deleted scenes, portrayed by Zachary Lee.
