Macaulay Carson Culkin (born August 26, 1980) is an American actor and musician. He became famous as a child actor for his role as Kevin McCallister in the family comedy Home Alone (1990) and its sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). In Home Alone 4, he was replaced by Mike Weinberg. Culkin's younger brother, Kieran Culkin, is also seen in the first two films, as Kevin's younger cousin Fuller McCallister.

The original concept of Home Alone 3 involved Kevin returning as a teenager. However, this idea was scrapped because Culkin temporarily quit acting three years earlier as he thought that he was outgrowing "childish" roles and he wanted to have a career rest break from Hollywood for a while to attend private high school in Manhattan, in New York City, New York U.S. State, USA since he wanted a "normal lifestyle life". Instead Home Alone 3 stars Alex D. Linz as Alex Pruitt. He later reprised his role as Kevin in the Google Home Alone Again commercial and has reportedly filmed a cameo for Home Sweet Home Alone. He also made a guest appearance in the AVGN episode "Home Alone Games" as the pizza boy and Culkin himself. And on RedLetterMedia as a frequent guest, appearing in multiple episodes of their Best of the Worst, re:View, and Half in the Bag webseries.

He is also known for his roles in Uncle Buck (1989), My Girl (1991), The Good Son (1993), the NYC Ballet's adaptation of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker (1993), [[Wikipedia:Getting Even with Dad|Getting Even with Dad] (1994), The Pagemaster (1994), Richie Rich (1994), Party Monster (2003), and the music video for Michael Jackson's "Black or White". At the height of his fame, he was regarded as the most successful child actor since Shirley Temple. Culkin ranked at number two on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Kid-Stars" and E!'s list of the "50 Greatest Child Stars."
