Penelope was the grandmother of Buzz, Megan, Linnie, Jeff, and Kevin McCallister.
Biography[]
While Kevin talked to Old Man Marley at a church, he wished his grandparents would send him money for Christmas, but they would always send him clothes. The previous year, he had gotten a sweater with a Big Bird knitted on it. When Marley remarked that the gift was "nice", Kevin replied it wasn't for him, because kids in the second grade got beat up for wearing stuff like that.[1]
The next year, Kate asked Kevin if he saw what Grandma Penelope sent him for the trip to Miami, Florida. When Kevin replied, "Um, let me guess — Donald Duck slippers?", Kate laughed a little and told him, "Close — an inflatable clown to play with in the pool." Kevin later used the toy clown to scare Mr. Hector away out of his room in the Plaza Hotel after he came in to check the room to see if everything was in order.[2]
